Events & Conferences

The theme for the 2019 conference is Eyes Wide Open: Moving Forwards and Staying Unified

bell hooks told us that “Knowledge rooted in experience shapes what we value” and so in our first panel “Lessons We Can Learn” we want to consider the education we have received, the knowledge we can pass forwards and the changes that we can make.

Maya Angelou declared that “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” and in this vein, we want to highlight the achievements made by our sxsters who have thrived in spaces which are white-dominated for our second panel, “Thriving in White Spaces“.
